How do you use Imafuji?

I use it to check the conditions under which Mt. Fuji’s weather phenomena occur, (such as cap clouds, first snowfall, snow smoke).

Why is this important and necessary?

Mt. Fuji, with its high and isolated peak, often experiences sudden weather changes. Previously, the only way to get real-time weather data from Mt. Fuji was through the AMeDAS station at the summit. For other locations on the mountain, weather conditions had to be estimated. However, with the new "Imafuji" service, we can now obtain actual weather measurements from various points on Mt. Fuji, not just the summit. This allows for a better understanding of current conditions and more accurate weather forecasting than ever before.

What would you like to say to the climbers?

Don’t push yourself too hard if you don’t feel fit enough or the weather conditions are rough. Mt. Fuji will be always here!
