How would you describe Imafuji in one phrase?
Is it an additional compass for Mt. Fuji!?

Mr.Seiichi Kubota
How do you use Imafuji?
As a Mt. Fuji guide, I make full use of the real-time information I get from Imafuji to set climbing schedules, change routes, decide whether to abort the climb, and otherwise guide the climbers safely.
Why is this important and necessary?
The weather on Mount Fuji often doesn't follow forecasts precisely and can change abruptly. Especially during the summer when many people climb, even if the weather on the plains seems calm, on Mount Fuji there can be strong winds, thunderstorms, and sometimes even snow or hail. Therefore, it's crucial for your safety and peace of mind to collect the latest weather information from smartphones, trailheads, mountain huts, and other sources before climbing Mount Fuji.
What would you like to say to the climbers?
During mid-summer when everyone climbs Mount Fuji, even if temperatures exceed 30°C in lowlands, at the 5th Station (at 2,400 meters), it's around 15°C, and at the summit, it's about 5°C. Particularly at night or early morning, it can feel as cold as winter, and with strong winds, wind chill can make it feel even colder, potentially below freezing. In such conditions, if your clothing gets wet, hypothermia, a very dangerous condition, can occur. Therefore, regardless of weather forecasts, it's essential to always prepare with rain gear, spare clothing, and other necessary items when climbing Mt. Fuji.
What do you like about Mt. Fuji
It goes without saying that it is the tallest mountain in Japan, and in addition to its overwhelming presence due to its independence, its beautiful and tidy form is majestic yet delicate, making it a true "symbol of Japan." I am proud of it as a Japanese person and as a resident of Shizuoka Prefecture.
What’s the best thing about Imafuji?
First and foremost, it is the fact that it provides real-time information. As a guide for climbing Mt. Fuji, I am very grateful to Imafuji for letting me know the "now" of Mt. Fuji, where the weather can change suddenly.
Please tell us about any Mt. Fuji-related activities/projects you are currently involved in.
I am currently a member of the subcommittee for the "Shizuoka Prefecture Safe and Comfortable Mount Fuji Climbing Promotion Council." Through this role, I aim to contribute to the widespread introduction of Mount Fuji's natural and cultural values to people both domestically and internationally, particularly through guiding.
