Why is this important and necessary?
Because it has a high altitude and a single peak, the weather changes rapidly, so it is essential to check the weather when climbing the mountain.
What would you like to say to the climbers?
Be sure to prepare in advance by doing your research and getting information from experienced climbers.

Please tell us about any Mt. Fuji-related activities/projects you are currently involved in.
Mount Fuji is an iconic symbol of Japan and a potentially active volcano. To ensure that everyone can climb Mount Fuji safely and with peace of mind, what can we do? By fostering collaboration among all climbers and making the experience of climbing Mount Fuji more visible through data utilization, we can address various needs during the climb. These include tracking the locations of oneself, companions, and family members, monitoring the congestion on climbing paths, understanding the risks of illness, accidents, or disasters, guiding evacuation in case of imminent danger, and providing emergency medical assistance. As part of the "Mount Fuji Challenge Project," we are working on building such a system. Specifically, we are distributing beacons to climbers. These beacons enable us to monitor the movements of climbers and manage information about Mount Fuji digitally. Beacon: A device that uses the "Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)" standard for short-range wireless communication to determine locations.
Is there something else you want to let the climbers know about Imafuji or Mt. Fuji?
Mt. Fuji is a volcano formed by the workings of nature, and while it brings us the blessings of nature, it also poses natural threats such as eruptions at times. I believe it is important to protect its value as a treasure of Japan.
